With my recent extensive travels, I haven’t been able to take really good care of my problematic skin. Maybe it’s because water is different, but my face has been going from desert dry to crazy oily every week or so. Luckily, I’ve found a nice combination of products that keeps it all under control. Clinique Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisture Cream Even though this moisturizer is technically supposed to be used only at night, I really enjoy using it in the morning as well. It smooths all flaky patches on my face when the skin is on the dry side and is not super oily for when it’s not. It’s great for travel as well, since the container is so tiny! Pixi Glow Tonic This product is a huge ‘must’ and is very popular among beauty bloggers, so I decided to give it a try and purchased a $15 small bottle. Conair Facial Sauna: Goals and Ideas

I am a firm believer in facial cleansing, scrubs, and moisturizers when it comes to my weird acne-prone skin. Although some of this acne comes from internal problems like dietary sins and hormonal imbalances, clogged pores and dead skin cells are also a big part of the problem. My newest experiment was actually a gift, is the Conair Moisturizing Mist Facial Sauna. It sounds absolutely promising and I can’t wait to get my hands on it to try it out. From what I see in the box, the kit comes with a few pieces, such as a sinus and face mask for steaming/sauna procedures and a small, simple device for scrubbing and buffing. I’ve been really needing this sort of deep cleansing considering my latest experiments with heavy, full coverage foundation and a slow transition to a lighter, spring one. The most excitement can be attributed to this cool Facial Brush, just because similar but more high-end kits are crazy expensive and I’ve been needing one pretty badly. Products I’ve used up in February

February was incredibly busy – with school and work and other stuff going on, I had barely any time to go out and stock up on some  beauty goodies. This is probably the first time I’ve run out of any product completely, usually I don’t have enough patience to finish them at all. Tomorrow I’ll be going out to buy these luckies: RenPure Originals Brazilian Straightening Shampoo, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind primer, and Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. Noting that I don’t have naturally curly hair, I’ve found the RenPure Straightening shampoo to work wonders nevertheless. In combination with the Straightening Conditioner, it makes my hair seem longer, straighter and silkier. February Drugstore Beauty Finds

When I am in a bad mood, my solution is going to my local drugstore and buying something new – usually in the shape of makeup or skin care bottles. As you may have noted in an older post about my keeping my skin clear, I’ve been having some problems with blemishes. Well, just as I started this new routine and diet, my skin flared up like there’s no tomorrow. So in an attempt to stop it while I could, I sprinted to Target.

My oh my has my face been terrible these last few weeks! I’ve been getting kind of lazy with cleaning and caring for my skin, so it’s getting out of control with redness and some pimples. Just a couple of days ago I ran into a picture on Tumblr that showed a woman drinking three liters of water everyday and how much her skin improved after only a month. So right now I’m thinking there are some things I am doing wrong in terms of my diet and skin care that certainly doesn’t help my skin or my overall health. This month I am gonna try to do the following: 1. Drink more water. Lady from Britain with 3 liters of water, you are my inspiration. Staying hydrated doesn’t just help improve skin tone and texture – it works its magic on our overall health as well, including strengthening hair and nails. I plan to do my best at drinking at least two or three bottles of water every day, and maybe try something flavored to make life …
